Wilmington, NC – UNC Wilmington’s University Theatre begins its 2002-03 season with the comedy 70 Scenes of Halloween at 8 p.m, Thursday, Sept. 26, in the UNCW Kenan Hall SRO Theatre.

The play, by Jeffrey Jones, is presented in 70 short, off-the-wall scenes that mix the realistic and the absurd while delving into the deteriorating marriage of Jeff and Joan. Senior theatre majors Dustin and Jenn Thomas play the lead roles. Jonathan Guggenheim and Jessica Fullbright play Jeff and Joan’s alter egos, beast and witch. Mike Holmes and L.J. Foust portray the comic roles of ghosts.

Additional performances will be held at 8 p.m., Friday, Sept.27, and Saturday, Sept. 28, and Wednesday, Oct. 2, through Saturday, Oct. 5 with special matinees at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29 and Oct. 6.

Tickets for the show are $8 for the public, $2 for students with valid ID and are on sale at the Kenan Auditorium Box Office at 910/962-3500. Reservations are recommended.
