Wilmington – UNCW-TV announces that it will rebroadcast candidate forums for New Hanover/Pender County District Attorney, New Hanover County Sheriff, New Hanover County School Board, and New Hanover County Board of County Commissioners starting at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31. The forums will be broadcast over The Learning Network on Time Warner cable channel 5 and Charter Communications channel 12.

The forums, originally broadcast live on The Learning Network and WAAV radio Oct. 10, 14, and 15, were sponsored by the Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) in conjunction with WAAV radio, the Star-News, and UNC Wilmington. The rebroadcasts feature the three candidates for New Hanover County Sheriff and two candidates for District Attorney; the eight candidates for the New Hanover County

Board of Education; and the five candidates for the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners. The forums utilized a panel who questioned the candidates as well as questions from the audience. Donn Ansell, prominent talk show host for WAAV, served as moderator.
