Wilmington, NC –Before Spielberg and Jurassic Park there was The Lost World, the original screen adoption of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s novel. UNC Wilmington’s Randall Library will host a free screening of this 1925 silent film at 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct.30, in the library auditorium.

The Lost World was the first live-action dinosaur adventure and featured special effects by Willis H. O’Brien, who pioneered visual techniques still used today. He also worked on the original classic King Kong.
