WILMINGTON, NC -- The “One and Only Tommy Dorsey Orchestra,”

under the direction of Buddy Morrow, will perform at 8 p.m., Saturday,

Dec. 14, in UNCW’s Kenan Auditorium.

Morrow is recognized as one of the all-time great trombone players. He

has performed as a featured musician with numerous orchestras as well

as jazz groups. As conductor of the “One and Only Tommy Dorsey

Orchestra,” Morrow insures the band retains the sound and style of the

late Dorsey.

Walt Andrus will be featured soloist for the orchestra’s Dec. 14 concert.

Andrus, who has been compared to Frank Sinatra, performed in the PBS

special Tommy Dorsey, A Sentimental Journey.
