Wilmington – The UNCW Department of Music will hold the first of

eight concerts in its 2003 Artist Recital Series at 4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 26,

in Kenan Auditorium.

The UNCW faculty showcase chamber music concert will feature pieces

by Brown, Chan, Chavez, Koechlin, Scarlatti, Villa-Lobos and Walton

performed by faculty Robert Nathanson, John Rack, Ellen Robison, Barry

Salwen, Jerald Shynett, Larry Suvak, Richard Thomas and Mary Jo

White.

In addition to sharing the talents of UNCW faculty performers, the Artist

Recital Series will feature world-class visiting musicians. Admission is $5

per person per event, $2.50 for UNCW faculty, staff, senior citizens, and

children under 12. UNCW students admitted free with valid ID. Contact
