UNCW Movie Makers Lecture to Feature Writer/Director/Actor John Ward

WILMINGTON, NC – Writer, director and actor John Ward will discuss his film career from 2 to 4 p.m., Friday, Feb. 21, in Morton Hall, Bryan Auditorium, at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. The university’s Film Studies Program is sponsoring this free, public presentation as part of its Movie Makers Lecture Series.Ward wrote, directed and starred in Enchanted, an independent feature film made in Wilmington. The movie aired on the cable television channels Showtime and Starz. A graduate of New Hanover High School and UNC Chapel Hill, Ward has appeared in numerous feature films including Sleeping with the Enemy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dream a Little Dream. His television credits include Matlock and The Margaret Mitchell Story. In college, Ward wrote, directed and acted in the short film Go West, which was nominated for a student Academy Award.
