UNCW Business Week to Feature Presentations from North Carolina Executives

WILMINGTON – The Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington will hold its annual Business Week March 26 and 27. More than 30 business professionals, corporate executives and recruiters from across the state will provide students and faculty insights on current business issues and career opportunities.

The two-day event will open with the discussion, “Challenges of New Venture Financing in a Chaotic World,” at 8:45 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, in Cameron Auditorium. Michael Cain, managing partner of SandPiper Fund will moderate the group. Susan Button, career consultant with the international career transfer firm Drake, Beam and Morin, located in Raleigh, N.C., will give the keynote address, "Finding Opportunities in Today's Challenging Job Market Through Networking," at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, in Cameron Auditorium. New Hanover Heath Network president, Dr. William K. Atkinson, will present Thursday’s keynote address “Health Care Leadership in Chaotic Times” at 11 a.m. in Cameron Auditorium.

The Commerce Cup Challenge, which is a Jeopardy-like game with student teams, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Cameron Hall, Room 212. In addition, a business art exhibit will be displayed on Thursday in the foyer of Cameron Auditorium. An MBA Executive Discussion, scheduled for 6 p.m., Wednesday, in Cameron Hall, Room 212, is the concluding presentation.
