UNCW School of Nursing to Hold Annual Research Day

WILMINGTON, NC – The UNC Wilmington School of Nursing and Nu Omega chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society will host its annual Research Day from 8 a.m. to noon, Friday, April 4, in the Warwick Center.

This forum is an opportunity for researchers to disseminate their findings and for UNCW nursing school faculty and students and area health care professionals to share and learn about techniques and procedures that might improve patient care.

Dr. Courtney Lyder, professor of nursing at the University of Virginia Medical Center, will deliver the keynote address “Minority Wound Care Research: A Journey to the Unknown.”

Registration is $15. The event is free for UNCW nursing students. Two nursing professionals from southeastern North Carolina will deliver addresses. There will be poster presentations on research projects by UNCW nursing students and health care professionals from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
