UNCW History Professor Robert Toplin to Lecture on the Relevance of the U.N.

WILMINGTON, NC - Dr. Robert Toplin, professor of the history at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, will present "Is the United Nations Relevant?" at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, in the Randall Library Auditorium. The Coastal Carolina Chapter of the United Nations Association is sponsoring this free, public presentation.

Toplin will address the importance of the United Nations by examining the history of its development and role in world affairs. He will also respond to questions about whether the U.N.'s involvement in international affairs serves America's interests.

Toplin is author or editor of 10 books. He has made numerous appearances on The History Channel and national PBS Television.
