UNCW International Friendship Program Seeks Hosts

Tuesday, July 08, 2003

Wilmington, N.C. — The University of North Carolina at Wilmington Office of International Programs is looking for participants to host an international student. UNCW enrolls students from around the globe every year, and this fall the university expects approximately 90 new international students.

The students live in on-campus housing so hosts are requested to provide off-campus experiences. Possible activities might include visiting local sights, having an occasional meal, assisting with transportation or simply learning from one another about different cultures. The program is for individuals, couples or families that would like to offer friendship and assistance to an international student settling into a new environment.
