Board of Governors Approves Goldgeier Appointment

Wilmington, N.C. – The University of North Carolina Board of Governors Aug. 8 approved the appointment of Eileen Goldgeier to become General Counsel at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.In addition to serving as Associate General Counsel at NCSU since March 1997, Ms. Goldgeier served as Senior Staff Attorney and subsequently as Assistant General Counsel at Johns Hopkins University from 1992 through 1997. She was admitted to the practice of law in North Carolina in 1997 and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit in 1992. Ms. Goldgeier, who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in environmental studies from Brown University, Providence, R.I., and a J.D. from Emory University, was selected among a field of 99 candidates in a national search.
