Director John Ward Visits Wilmington for UNCW Film Studies Department Movie Maker Lecture Series

WILMINGTON, N.C.—John Ward a writer, director and actor in the film industry will lecture 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 5 in Bryan Auditorium, Morton Hall, Room 100, at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. This presentation is sponsored by Film Studies Department Movie Maker lecture series and is free and open to the public.Ward wrote, directed, produced, and starred in Enchanted, an independent feature film made in Wilmington, which aired on the Showtime and Starz! Networks. He has appeared in numerous feature films, including Sleeping with the Enemy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dream a Little Dream, and in TV series and movies including Matlock and The Margaret Mitchell Story. A graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, Ward wrote, produced, directed and acted in the short film, Go West, which was nominated for a student Academy Award. Ward has several film and television projects in development at major studios.
