RE: “Back to School” Brunch and News Conference;
Tour of New Regional Educational Resource Center
10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 18, Madeline Suite of Wagoner Hall
UNC Wilmington Chancellor Rosemary DePaolo cordially invites you to join her for brunch and news conference beginning at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 18 in the Madeline Suite of Wagoner Hall. During this news conference, she will review highlights of the upcoming academic year at UNCW (freshmen move in Aug. 16 and classes start Wednesday, Aug. 20).
In addition, UNCW Watson School of Education Dean Cathy Barlow will announce three significant gifts and recognize the donors to the Watson School of Education in support of the school and the North Carolina Teachers Legacy Hall. Legacy Hall architects and designers will unveil plans for the North Carolina Teachers Legacy Hall, the only museum-quality display in the country that will honor the timeless impact of teachers.
To be housed in a three-story atrium, the Legacy Hall will be the centerpiece of the 80,500-square-foot Regional Educational Resource Center currently under construction on the east side of campus. Following the news conference, media will have the opportunity to tour the building.
We hope you will join us for this exciting event.
