RE: Media Walk-Through of Cornerstone Hall, New 263-bed, $11.6 million residence hall
Media are cordially invited for a tour of UNCW’s newest residence hall at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 8. This 60,671-square-foot building will open to students Aug. 16 and is a wonderful addition to the campus.
Some features include four classrooms that will house UNCW’s first Learning Community, a computer lab with 8-10 computers, and a beautiful columned façade. On hand to discuss the residence hall and the Learning Communities program will be Brad Reid, director of housing and residence life, and Claudia Stack, academic advisor in General College and co-director of the Learning Communities program. Leading the tour will be Vince Mannella, director of construction services for UNCW.
Please enter campus on Randall Drive, follow Randall past the water tower, follow the road as it takes a hard right, then take the first left onto Cahill Drive. From Cahill Drive, take the first left behind the International House and you will come to parking near Cornerstone Hall. Hope to see you there. Please call if you have questions.
