CANCELED AND RESCHEDULED CAMPUS EVENTS

Due to Hurricane Isabel, campus events are being canceled and, in some cases, rescheduled. This list is not complete. Plan to check directly with the sponsoring organization. This list will be updated as cancellations are reported.

 

CANCELED

 

The General College Advising Center Open House, scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17. 

 

Richard Goldman’s lecture on Africa and his international experiences, scheduled for 7:30 Wednesday, Sept. 17 in Randall Library.

 

RESCHEDULED

 

Moviemaker Rachel Wimberly will lead a discussion from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26 in the University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s Bryan Auditorium, Morton Hall, Room 100.

Physics Colloquium - Laura Guy, physics and physical oceanography, will speak at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26 in DeLoach Hall, Room 212. The title of her talk is "Optical Trapping and Manipulation of Biological Objects." Refreshments will be served at 1:45 p.m.

The Student Organization Leadership Conference, planned for Sept. 19 and 20 has been cancelled. A modified version of the conference will be offered Oct. 3. Check the Campus Activities and Involvement Center Web site at www.uncw.edu/activities for more up-to-date information.

Sept. 18 Mayoral Forum Rescheduled to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 1, Warwick Center Ballroom due to Hurricane Isabel. It will be broadcast live on WAAV 980 am and Time Warner Cable Channel 5 and Charter Cable 12. Sept. 25 forum will continue as planned.
