UNCW Department of Music to Present "Winds at an Exhibition"

WILMINGTON, NC – The University of North Carolina at Wilmington Department of Music presents the concert, “Winds at an Exhibition,” at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6 in the university’s Kenan Auditorium.Christofer Ackerman directs both UNCW wind ensembles, Wind Symphony and Chamber Winds. Featured on the program are pieces musically depicting major works of art by such composers as Rimsky-Korsokov, Virgil Thomson, Samuel Barber, J.S. Bach, Fisher Tull and concluding with Dello Joio’s scenes from, “The Louvre.”
General Admission is $5, $2.50 for UNCW faculty and staff, senior citizens and children under 12. Admission is free for UNCW students with valid ID. Tickets are available at the Kenan Auditorium Box Office at 910/962-3500.
