Entrepreneurial Activities, 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27

Please be advised that there will be a meeting of the UNC Wilmington Board of Trustees Ad Hoc Committee on Entrepreneurial Activities beginning at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, to take place in Alderman Hall, Room 215.

The committee initially will convene in open session for the purpose of receiving information from staff on various aspects of entrepreneurial activities, then will convene in closed session as allowed under the North Carolina Open Meetings Act in order to “discuss matters relating to the location or expansion of industries or other businesses in the area served by the public body” [NCGS 143.318.11(4)] and to “establish, or to instruct the public body’s staff or negotiating agents concerning the position to be taken by or on behalf of the public body in negotiating (i) the price and other material terms of a contract or proposed contract for the acquisition of real property by purchase, option, exchange, or lease” [NCGS 143.318.11(5)].
