Professor Andrew Lund Speaks at UNCW Film Studies Lecture

WILMINGTON, NC- The University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s Film Studies program will host a lecture featuring Andrew Lund, assistant professor of film studies, at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 in Bryan Auditorium, Morton Hall, Room 100. The lecture, “Busting the Myths and Avoiding the Horror Stories: What Every Independent Filmmaker Needs to Know about the Law,” is free and open to the public.

Lund is a graduate of the film division of Columbia University. He has written and directed a number of award-winning short films, which have screened at festivals, on television worldwide and are in theatrical and non-theatrical distribution. He has also worked on Academy Award-nominated films. Lund has worked as an entertainment attorney for clients such as Viacom, BMI, Christie’s and Hallmark and has also represented authors, art dealers, musicians, Internet companies and theater producers.

As a writer, director and producer, Lund is working on several new projects, both narrative and documentary, including an inside look at the United Nations Security Council.
