WILMINGTON, NC — “Up in Harlem,” performed by the UNCW Big Band, is one of the selections on the Jazziz Magazine featured CD for October 2003. This is the second consecutive year the group has been featured on a Jazziz Magazine CD with other notable jazz programs and performers from around the country.

The Big Band’s selection showcases student soloists Chris Morris, guitar; John Fulkerson, trombone; and Joseph Yankel, alto saxophone, performing an original composition by UNCW graduate, Benny Hill ’94 and arranged by UNCW faculty member, Jerald Shynett.
