UNCW Fraternity Pays Tribute to Brother Through Scholarship

WILMINGTON, NC- The University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s Delta Tau Delta fraternity is holding a 5K race at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 on the campus of UNCW, starting at the parking lot located beside Dobo Hall (Lot T). This race is to raise money for a scholarship in the name of Danny McGregor, a fraternity brother who died in March. The scholarship will be issued each year to a new member of the fraternity.

Members of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity are asking for donations, monetary or of product, from local sponsors and supporters. Sponsor logos or names will be placed on displayed signs the day of the race.

Early registration is possible by sending in the entry form from brochures available at local businesses and gyms, around the UNCW campus or by visiting www.uncwdelts.com/5K.pdf. Pre-registration is $10 for students and $15 for the public. Registration on the day of the race will be $20 and will begin at 7:30 a.m.
