WILMINGTON, NC – The Honors Scholars program at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and Leadership Wilmington corresponded with Master Sgt. Rich Ragland while he served with the U.S. Marines in Iraq. Almost 100 faculty, staff and students wrote letters, sent pictures and a UNCW t-shirt to Ragland while he was stationed overseas. Now back in the U.S., Ragland would like to meet the letter writers and supporters to talk about his experiences. The honors office is holding an open opportunity for the campus community to meet with Ragland at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29 in the honors scholar’s office in Randall Library. Light refreshments will be served during the event.
