Alonzo Wilson Speaks at UNCW Film Studies Lecture

Wilmington, N.C.—The University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s Film Studies Department will host a Moviemaker Guest Lecture screening and discussion featuring Alonzo Wilson from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27 in Bryan Auditorium, Morton Hall, Room 100. All Moviemaker events are free and open to the public.Wilson is a costume designer with credits that include the hit TV series Dawson’s Creek, the HBO series The Wire, and the Academy Award-nominated film Two Soldiers. A Wilmington native, Wilson began working in theater, before working as a designer’s assistant, set costumer and costume supervisor on such films as Bull Durham, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Betsy’s Wedding. Wilson will discuss his career in film and the idea that “all departments working together can create a seamless work of art.”
