The UNCW Student Government Association is an influential student organization on campus. Elections are run by the Student Government Association Election Board Committee. This committee is made up of SGA members not running in this year’s election and two committee co-chairpersons.

Each potential candidate must fill out a packet that contains the rules and regulations of the election. The packet contains all of the information that each candidate will be expected to uphold throughout the campaigning and the election process. After a packet has been filled out, it is to be returned to the Involvement Center, University Union, Room 205.

The SGA Election Board Committee will also need to verify the eligibility of the candidates running for a student government position. All candidates for any position must be full-time students, cannot currently be on disciplinary action and must be classified as a member of their respective class by spring semester. All candidates should be aware that, if elected, they would be expected to attend SGA meetings during their term in office. Meetings are scheduled on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. in the University Union, Room 100.
