Trio Performs at UNCW’s Kenan Auditorium

Wilmington, N.C.—The University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s Department of Music features their faculty in concert at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1 in Kenan Auditorium. Mary Jo White, flute; Petrea Warneck, oboe; and Karen Rice, piano, will play trio music by Loeillet, Ginastera, Dring, Goosens, and Jacob. Admission is $5 for adults, $2.50 for faculty, staff, senior citizens and children under 12. UNCW students are admitted free with a valid student ID.

Oboist Petrea Warneck performs extensively throughout the Carolinas as an orchestral and chamber musician. Originally from North Carolina, Mary Jo White returned to this area several years ago and is now UNCW’s visiting assistant professor of flute and theory, as well as the principal flutist of the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra. Karen Rice is the instrumental accompanist at UNCW.
