The Randall Library is exhibiting “North Carolina Azalea Festival: The ‘ART’ of Promotion” through Monday, April 5. It features Azalea Festival Posters from 1987 through 2004. All posters, except for three that the Cape Fear Museum has loaned the exhibit, are from the Randall Library Collection. The exhibit includes a digital image of the 1948 Azalea Festival poster, and features artwork from Jeanne Davies, graduate of UNCW in art. Another added feature is photography of the 2003 Azalea Festival Street Fair from the collection of Sherman Hayes, university librarian.
