MEMORANDUM

UNCW has 36 students studying throughout Spain now. Foreign Languages and Literatures Lecturer Valerie Rider and 17 students were in Madrid this morning. We have confirmation that none of them was harmed, and they have traveled to Segovia. The student studying at La Universidad Europea de Madrid has called and is fine. Preliminary information about the 13 students studying this semester at Universidad de Vic in Barcelona indicates they are fine, and we are optimistic that the students at Universidad de Cantabria in Santander, University of Barcelona, and University of Seville are also fine.
