On Monday, March 22 please join us at 11 a.m. at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s Wise Alumni House, 1713 Market Street, as we unveil the logo, details and activities of the week of events planned to mark the Installation of Chancellor Rosemary DePaolo’s.

The Friday, April 16, installation of Dr. Rosemary DePaolo as the third chancellor and sixth leader of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington represents the continuation of centuries of academic tradition observed by colleges and universities throughout the world. It is the public and formal charging of the chancellor with the responsibilities and powers of the Office of Chancellor.

The ceremony includes Dr. DePaolo’s acceptance of these responsibilities and her pledge to uphold them. It is customary for the chancellor to give an installation response that will project her vision and goals for the institution. Dr. Molly Corbett Broad, president of the University of North Carolina, will make the formal presentation and presides over installation of the chancellor. Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Ernest Fullwood will administer the oath of office.
