WILMINGTON, N.C. — The University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s Film Studies Department will host a lecture featuring Brad Karl, the Southeast District executive of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 in Bryan Auditorium in Morton Hall. It is open to the public.

Karl represents actors while dealing with film producers, casting directors, agent, legislators and industry organizations. He negotiates theatrical film, television and commercial contracts and to advises SAG members on labor law issues.

Karl will discuss the business of show business, working with SAG actors and contracts and ways to get the best out of actors.
