REMINDER: Cameron School of Business hosts first annual UNCW Economic Outlook Conference Oct. 7

Wilmington, N.C. – The Cameron School of Business will host the first annual University of North Carolina Wilmington Economic Outlook Conference to discuss the economic vitality of southeastern North Carolina and the economic impact of seven key industry sectors. The featured sector is North Carolina’s boat industry. The event will be held from 7 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, in Cameron Hall on the UNCW campus.

The conference will offer speakers and panel discussions on the dynamics, threats and opportunities associated with the economic vitality of southeastern North Carolina, with particular analysis of the seven featured industries:

• Boat industry

• Tourism

• Retail

• Retirement

• Residential real estate

• Commercial development

• Construction.

Panel members, leaders in their respective industry sectors, will provide reflections and insights from economic data and their personal business experiences. A list of speakers and panelists, as well as a time-specific agenda, is attached.
