RE: Check Presentation To Honor Chancellor DePaolo 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 5, Steps of Randall Library

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Social Work Student Organization, and the Teaching Fellows of the University of North Carolina Wilmington invite media to attend a scholarship check presentation in honor of the installation of Chancellor Rosemary DePaolo at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov.5 on the steps of Randall Library.

This presentation is in recognition of the Spring 2004 campaign by these three student organizations which collected more than 4,000 books, the largest number of books collected for the Books-for-Africa campaign by universities in the Southeast United States region. Due to the efforts of these student organizations, Better World Books awarded the UNCW with a $500 scholarship which will be presented to the chancellor. The campaign was launched last year as a way for these organizations to honor Chancellor DePaolo on the occasion of her installation.

This presentation Friday will also serve as the kickoff celebration for the Fall 2004 Better World Books campaign at UNCW. For more information, refer to: www.BooksforAfrica.org or www.BetterWorldBooks.com or contact Adam Light at agl4868@uncw.edu.
