RE: Media Tour of Kenan House Post Renovation 2-4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, 1705 Market Street, Wilmington

As you are aware, Kenan House, the 1911-era official residence of the chancellor of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, has undergone serious repair and renovation over the past year. Major elements include replacement of 1931 plumbing and electrical system, repair of slate roofing and gutters, and new heating and air conditioning system.

Before furniture begins to be moved back into Kenan House the week of Nov. 8, we would like to invite media to tour the residence to view the work that has been accomplished. Please join us at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, to see what has been done to bring this building into compliance with today’s codes and to maintain this magnificent historic structure.

An accounting of expenses and sources of funds will be provided at the media tour. We hope you can join us for this.
