The University of North Carolina Wilmington will be closed for the holidays starting Friday, Dec. 24 and re-opening for business Monday, Jan. 3. Spring semester 2005 classes begin Wednesday, Jan. 5.

Donors wishing to make contributions before the end of the year should call 910/962-3751. Advancement staff are available to meet with donors who wish to give securities to the university prior to year-end. Calls will be monitored and returned promptly. As long as a check is received or postmarked no later than Dec. 31, 2004, it will be considered a 2004 gift for tax purposes. Credit card, stock and gifts in kind must be processed by UNCW on or before Dec. 31, 2004, to be considered a 2004 gift for tax purposes.
