Forum explores varying effects of tsunami

Wilmington, N.C. – University of North Carolina Wilmington professors will be conducting a forum examining scientific elements, medical consequences, health care delivery, economic impact and psychological trauma of the recent tsunami in Indonesia from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4 at the University Union, Room 100, on the campus of UNCW.

Panelists include Stephen Meinhold, associate professor of political science; Lewis Abrams, associate professor of geology; Yeoun Soo Kim-Godwin, assistant professor of nursing; Ronald Sizemore, professor of marine microbiology; Chris Dumas, associate professor of economics; Paige Tan, assistant professor of political science; and Caroline Clements, professor of psychology and director of Center for Teaching Excellence.

The format includes presentations by each of the panelists, followed by a question-and-answer session. The forum is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
