Subject: Cameron School of Business hosts Business Week at UNCW
The University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business is hosting the19th annual Business Week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 29 and 30. Lectures will be held in Cameron Hall on the campus of UNCW. Due to space availability, these events are not open to the public, but media are invited to attend.
Business Week is an annual conference for students which features presentations by more than 90 representatives from business, industry and government. This conference is designed to expose students to the world of work and provide them with access to a variety of professionals while engaging the regional business community with the Cameron School of Business. This year’s conference is supported by more than 40 student volunteers and 11 corporate sponsors.
Andy White, President of GE Nuclear Energy, will be the plenary speaker on Tuesday, March 29. White’s topic will be “The GE Story.” Don Reynolds, COO of Port City Java, will be the plenary speaker on Wednesday, March 30, and will speak on “The Port City Java Story.” Both sessions will run from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in Cameron Auditorium, Room 105.
The lead sponsor for Business Week is BB&T. Carlos Lauroure, BB&T business services officer and a 2003 graduate of the Cameron School of Business, will kick off the opening plenary session. Other sponsors for the event are Capital Ford, Coastal Beverage, Deloitte, Dixon Hughes, Ernst & Young, Grant Thornton, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, RSM McGladrey and Learning Perspectives.
