This will be the first of three such programs with Poland.

Please join us at a news conference at 10 a.m., Monday, March 14 in Alderman Hall, Room 215 on the campus of UNCW to meet them and learn more about how Wilmington was selected for this training, what they will be doing, and how this will impact them and ultimately, the United States.

Attending the news conference will be District Attorney Ben David of Pender and New Hanover County; Major David Stevenson, Major David Smithey and Capt. Arch Jones of the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office; a representative of Wilmington Police Department; UNCW Chancellor Rosemary DePaolo; UNCW University Police Chief David Donaldson; and Diane Levy, chair of the UNCW Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice.

Also attending will be Bob Wadman, professor of criminal justice at Weber State University near Ogden, Utah, and technical advisor for the U. S. Department of Justice International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) which is sponsoring the visit.
