Wilmington, N.C. – Soprano Charity Whittington, a senior at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, will give a recital at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2 in Kenan Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Whittington, a student of voice professor Nancy King, has performed on many occasions in the local area, most recently as the Richard Deas Concerto Competition winner with the Wilmington Symphony. Accompanying Whittington for this event will be pianist Pat Ainspac. Whittington will perform compositions by Mozart, Purcell, Rossini, Marx, Gonoud and Babitt.
