UNCW Adult Scholars Leadership Program Graduates 32 and Celebrates 15 Years

Wilmington, N.C. – University of North Carolina Wilmington Adult Scholars Leadership Program (ASLP) will mark its 15th year when it graduates 32 adult scholars at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 22 in the Madeline Suite on the campus of UNCW.

ASLP is an intensive seven-week experience for retired and semi-retired individuals. The program brings newsmakers and decision-makers together to address compelling issues facing Southeastern North Carolina, providing students with an up-to-date snapshot of the political, economic, educational, law enforcement, historical and cultural forces of the region.

Since 1991, the program has graduated over 400 adult scholars and has 243 active alumni. Alumni consist of Fortune 500 executives, government officials, educators, health care providers, lifelong volunteers and community activists.
