Wilmington, N.C. – Flutist Cynthia Twing and saxophonist Martin Callender, both juniors at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, will give a recital at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 in Trinity United Methodist Church, 1403 Market Street. The event is free and open to the public.

Twing and Callender are both music education majors. Twing will perform compositions by Bach, Hindemith and Faure. She will also perform two movements of Gordon Jacob’s “Pied Piper,” during which she will perform on piccolo. Twing is a student of assistant professor Mary Jo White. Callender, a student of professor Frank Bongiorno, will perform compositions by Eccles, Maurice and Hindemith. Pianist Karen Rice will accompany Twing and Callender for this event.
