RE: Stompin’ at the Savoy Organizers to Announce Williston Senior High Alumni Endowed Scholarship Press Luncheon, 11:45 a.m., Thursday, April 21, Madeline Suite, UNCW

Please join UNCW Chancellor Rosemary DePaolo, former trustee Linda Upperman Smith and Stompin’ at the Savoy organizer, Williston alumna and trustee-elect Linda Pearce, and Watson School of Education Dean Cathy Barlow for a press luncheon to announce a new endowed scholarship. The luncheon will be held at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, April 21 at the Madeline Suite on the campus of UNCW.

The sixth annual Stompin’ at the Savoy, a fundraising effort to increase merit scholarships that promote the diversity of students at UNCW, will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, April 23 at the Seahawk Grill, Warwick Center, on the UNCW campus. The Electric Image Band will provide live music. Tickets are $50 per person and include heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages.

Proceeds from the event have already played a significant role in helping the university obtain scholarships to enhance diversity. Please call me at 910/962-3171 if you can attend this exciting news conference.
