RE: Press Event to Highlight and Kick-off UNCW ARTSfest 2005,
10 a.m., Thursday, June 2, Kenan Auditorium

You are cordially invited to attend a press event to announce programs that will be a part of the 2005 UNCW ARTSfest. The event will take place at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 2 on the stage of Kenan Auditorium on the campus of UNCW.

Organizing a number of artistic activities as a summer arts fest was the brainchild of UNCW Chancellor Rosemary DePaolo. Since her appointment as chancellor two years ago, she has spurred a renewed focus on arts and culture. Speaking at the news conference will be UNCW Provost Dr. Paul Hosier and UNCW Director of Cultural Arts Norman Bemelmans.

Join us for the unveiling of this new “initiative for the arts,” a spirited celebration of arts and culture at our university and in our community. All events will take place on the campus of UNCW. ARTSfest will run from June through July, showcasing all aspects of the arts from writing to music and from art to history that are alive and vibrant throughout Wilmington. Media will be provided with detailed materials and photos during the press event.
