Novelist Michele Andrea Bowen will discuss Second Sunday at 6 p.m., June 8 in the Education Building, room 161 at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Bowen is a native of St. Louis, Mo, but now makes her home in Durham, North Carolina. An author of black Christian fiction, Bowen says each of her novels is a venture into black church life and culture that she hopes will inform and inspire readers.

After the discussion, Bowen will autograph copies of Second Sunday and Church Folk. Both of the books will be for sale.
