WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Donald R. Watson School of Education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington has announced both the 2005 Principal Fellows and the placement of principal interns, both from the Master’s of School Administration degree program.

Principal Fellows are full-time students enrolled in the master’s program who are given $20,000 for two years along with a $12,260 stipend the second year. In exchange, the students agree to serve as a school administrator for four years in the State of North Carolina. The 2005 Principal Fellows include:

Karen McCarty of Wilmington
Dawn McKernan of Wilmington
Lisa Pike of Morehead City
Edith Skipper of Wilmington

As a requirement of the program, students must complete a full-time internship as an assistant principal or other school administrator for one year. This year’s interns and their placements are as follows
