Area media are cordially invited to attend the 2005 University of North Carolina Wilmington State of the University Address at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23 in University Union Room 100. The annual event, open to the public, will feature a speech from Student Body President Bradley Ballou detailing his vision and agenda over the coming months. Ballou will speak about issues such as construction, tuition hikes, a blanket grading scale, and much more. The event will also feature comments from Chancellor Rosemary DePaolo.

Members of the media with special needs are asked to arrive no later than 5:30 p.m., as the event will begin promptly at 6 p.m. Media kits, including transcripts of Ballou’s speech, will be available at the event.
