Wilmington, NC - American Home Mortgage (AHM), one of the nations leading mortgage lenders, and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) Alumni Association, have signed an exclusive three-year affinity marketing agreement.

Under the agreement, J. D. Terry and Daniel Cain will market products and services through American Home Mortgage to UNCW’s 40,000 alumni. By joining the “Seahawk Reward Program,” alumni clients closing an AHM loan with either Terry or Cain will receive a $200 closing cost credit and $100 will be donated in their name by AHM to the UNCW Alumni Association. Moreover, AHM will make a cornerstone donation to the alumni association to provide scholarship assistance for both undergraduate and graduate students.

AHM loan officers J.D. Terry, ‘99 and Daniel Cain, ‘95, worked closely with Caroline Norelius, director of alumni relations, and Todd Olesiuk, assistant director of alumni relations at UNCW, to structure the affinity agreement.

“As UNCW graduates, we’re thrilled to build this new relationship with the university,” said Terry. “By strengthening our ties with the alumni, we’ll also be able to assist students in some small measure.”

“We’re pleased that our alumni will receive this benefit, and that American Home has become a partner in providing scholarship assistance to our students,” added Olesuik.
