Wilmington, NC - At approximately 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19 construction activities on the UNCW Student Center expansion project caused roof decking materials to catch fire. No one was injured in the incident.

All fire units left the scene at around 7 p.m. Wednesday night and construction resumed Thursday morning. Barnhill Contracting and the Wilmington Fire Department are conducting a follow up investigation.
