WILMINGTON, N.C. – In an effort to clarify gray areas of an issue that is often seen in black and white, the Student Government Association and Office of Campus Activities and Involvement at the University of North Carolina Wilmington will co-sponsor an Affirmative Action Forum at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 in University Union, Room 100.

The event will feature several professors presenting on multiple facets of the topic, giving their own personal insights. Among those participating will be Jennifer Horan, lecturer in political science; Rob Miller, associate professor of sociology; Tom Schmid, chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion; and Earl Sheridan, professor of political science and newly-elected Wilmington City Council representative. The event will be moderated by Anthony Jenkins, associate dean of students. Light refreshments will be served during the event.
