UNCW University Union Exhibit Series Hosts Fifth Annual Juried Student Exhibition

Wilmington, N.C. – UNCW Presents’ University Union Exhibit Series is featuring works from students now through December 2 in the Warwick Center Lobby. A reception for the student artists will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26 in the lobby. Awards for Best of Show and three Honorable Mentions will be given out at 5:30 p.m. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

UNCW students submitted over 50 works in drawing, painting, watercolor, photography and three-dimensional sculpture. Juror Jane Lawton Baldridge selected 27 student pieces for the exhibit. Baldridge is a local Wilmington artist and her work has been on display at the Louise Wells Cameron Museum of Art and Piney Woods Festival.

Participating students include: Anne McCombie, junior in studio art; Shanga Manning, senior in studio art; Dana Jennings, junior in business management; Bonnie Dunbar, senior in English & studio art; Bonnie England, senior in studio art & art history; Christopher Valerian, senior in studio Art; Danielle Larripa, senior in studio art; Charmaine Ortiz, junior in studio art & art history; Emily Jones, junior in studio art; Jeanette Hall, senior in studio art & psychology; Rhonda Willett, senior in studio art; Jessica Phillips, junior in studio art; Katie Morris, senior in studio art; Mary Tucker, senior in studio Art; Melissa Ebbinghouser, senior in studio art; Penny Rhodes, junior in studio art; Richard Hedrick, senior in studio art; Sarah Sharpe, senior in studio art and Stephanie Hagens, junior in studio art.
