Jacobs to Talk About "The Other Person in the Picture"

Wilmington, N.C. - Philip Jacobs will present “The Other Person in the Picture: The Portrayal of Joseph the Carpenter in Western Art and Literature,” as part of the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Art History Lecture Series. Jacobs, an art historian at Cape Fear Community College, will give a slide presentation beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17 in Kenan Hall room 121.

In his talk, Jacobs will examine how Joseph has been presented in European art throughout the centuries. Following the lecture, there will be a reception in the Claude Howell Gallery located in Kenan Hall.
