The schedule is as follows:

Mar. 14 - The Great War, 1918

Mar. 21 - 1914-1918: Shell Shock and Men of Bronze: The Black American Heroes of World War I

April 4 - Woodrow Wilson, Part II: The Redemption of the World

Apr. 11 - Return to Isolationism and Lost Peace, 1919

W. Taylor Fain, UNCW assistant professor of history, will lead the discussions. Fain obtained his Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and later worked as a U.S. Department of State historian in Washington. He received his doctorate in the history of American foreign relations from the University of Virginia.

"We are delighted to present this unique program focusing on one of the most important periods in American history," said program coordinator Sue Cody, associate university librarian for public services. "This program allows community members to use in-depth information from documentaries and provide access to the expertise of one of our scholars in world history. A library is the perfect backdrop for these discussions because we can offer a full selection of resources for further study of any of these topics."
