Thursday, March 30, 2006

Wilmington. N.C. - To commemorate April as Sexual Violence Awareness Month, the University of North Carolina Wilmington will hold the 7th annual Take Back the Night march and rally at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 6.

Participants will meet outside of Wagoner Hall to begin the silent walk in honor of those who have been assaulted.

The rally will be held at the Gazebo between the Student Recreation Center and the University Apartments. There will be several guest speakers, including speakers from Domestic Violence Shelter and Services and the Rape Crisis Center. The evening will include individuals sharing the ways in which sexual violence affects their lives and the community as a whole.
